Michael Sherer went to meet his Lord and Savior on 7 January, 2026. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on 21 April, 1964. He is survived by his wife Carol (Sissie) Sherer, his parents, Thomas and Lana Sherer, his two brothers, Scott (Julie) and Jeffrey (Lara) and his children, Sharryl (Kolby) Fellers, Amber (Cody) Bronikowsky, Joshua (Christina) Sherer and Madison Sherer, and step-sons Cody and Kyle Bronikowsky.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Shanna, Mackenzie, Mason, Michael, Shayne, Paislee, Ayden, Stetson, Kade, Isabella, CJ, Miles and great grandson Greyson. There are also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michael spent a great deal of his adult life running towing services in South Houston. He then transitioned this experience into HCTRA, or Harris County Toll Road Authority in 2009. He spent his final 17 years there, a Supervisor building a network of co-workers and friends that are innumerable. His service will never be forgotten as, at his passing, a Wall of Service was created to honor his achievements as well as others that passed while serving HCTRA with distinction.

Michael is gone, but his memory will never be forgotten. Our Lord and Savior gave him to all of us and we loved and cherished him all these many years….but there is no greater pain than having to give him back. Rest in peace our beautiful son.
