Michael Wayne Peterson, age 68, was taken by his Lord on November 13, 2021. Michael was born in Wichita, Kansas, on February 20, 1953, to Lawrence Dean Peterson and Marian Elizabeth Cornish.

Michael, like his father, worked in telecommunications. Other than for mergers and acquisitions, he worked for the same company throughout his career. Starting as a tradesman, he worked his way up to becoming a skilled and respected engineer with both Microsoft MCSE and Cisco CCNA certifications.

Michael was kind, calm, and giving. He enjoyed photography, fishing, playing guitar, rebuilding radio-controlled cars, spending time by the water, and working on projects around the house. He completed projects with a strict dedication and desire for perfection. If you asked for his help, he'd quickly become an expert going above and beyond to solve your problem. Being an astute problem solver, he was the designated family computer technician, always having multiple computers lined up for repair. He was quick-witted and enjoyed joking and laughing with friends and family.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Peterson, his brother, David Peterson, and his sister Cheryl Peterson.

Michael is survived by his mother, Marian Cornish, his brother, Dale Peterson and wife Lori, his sister, Melaina Runnels and husband Steve, sister-in- law Belinda Peterson, two sons, Chris Peterson and wife Andrea, Mathew Peterson, grandchildren Rian, Griffin, and Andre, his aunt, Lee Burton from Colorado, his cousin, Korina Moye from Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael's life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11, at 10:00 AM. at Peevey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael's name to the American Cancer Society.
