Michael Joseph Kruvalis, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born in Houston, Texas, Michael lived a life defined by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and gratitude for the many friendships he made along the way. He shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dorothy. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, friendship, and treasured memories.

Michael devoted 42 years to Houston Lighting & Power. Throughout his long career, he formed many lifelong friendships that remained an important and valued part of his life.

Some of Michael's happiest moments were spent along the Gulf of Mexico, where he enjoyed summer vacations surrounded by family and friends. He loved fishing with his buddies, listening to music, and barbecuing a mean brisket. He appreciated life's simple pleasures, good food, good music, time on the water, and, above all, being with the people he loved.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his four children, Liz, Jenny, Mary, and Matthew; and his six grandchildren, Suzan, Arman, Savanah, Annika, Yasemin, and Ryker. He also leaves behind extended family and many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael's family is profoundly grateful for the life they shared with him, for his steadfast love and devotion, the laughter and traditions, and the countless memories he leaves behind. Although his absence will be felt beyond measure, his love and the memories he gave so freely will remain in their hearts always.

A memorial service celebrating Michael's life will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 2:00 p.m.with visitation one hour prior to the service,at Peevey Funeral & Cremation, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089.
