Michael "Mike" Alan Hurst of Pasadena, Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 5, 2023. Mike was born to J. Melvin and Billie Hurst on November 21, 1961, in Pasadena, Texas. He was preceded in death by his Father, J. Melvin Hurst, and his grandparents, H. Hubbard and Eunice Hurst.

Mike is survived by his loving mother, Billie Hurst; sister, Sherri Brewton; brother-in-law, Jamie Brewton; son, Christopher Hurst; daughter-in-law, Genesis Hurst; precious granddaughter, Evangeline Hurst; and Christopher's mother, Gwen Hurst. He is also survived by his aunt, Becky Carlton, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Mike graduated from Sam Rayburn High School and then entered a career in real estate and tax appraisal, where he worked for Harris County Appraisal District.

Mike was a proud father to Christopher and absolutely adored his only grandchild, Evangeline.

Mike was a Christian and loved the Lord. He loved to talk about the Bible and could quote many Bible verses.

His Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway, in the Chapel on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00am., the family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30am.
