Meredith Jane Condit Wright passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023, New Years' Day, surrounded by her family. Born Monday, October 25th, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank and Julia Condit, a salesman and a homemaker. Meredith grew up in Canton, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended Webster Groves High School. After graduation, Meredith moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she would meet and fall in love with her future husband of 45 years, George Wright.

After moving to Texas and marrying George, Meredith gave birth to their two sons, Jimmy, and Adam Wright. Meredith loved cooking breakfast every morning her boys were in school while playing oldies in the kitchen. Meredith spent much of her time in service to others, including volunteering for the Meador Elementary School PTA, the Beverly Hills Civic Club, and the Bridge Over Troubled Waters, a shelter for battered and abused women.

Meredith and George enjoyed travelling whenever they could, visiting all of their grandchildren as much as possible, trying new restaurants, and spending their retirement together. Meredith was a loving and devoted wife and mother and is survived by her husband, George, brother, Hal, sons, Jimmy and Adam, grandchildren, Conner, Emily, Madelyn and Andrew, and daughters in law Kim and Amy Wright.

The service will be held at 3:00pm., Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, at Peevey Funeral Home, located at 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX, 77089. There will be a reception immediately following at Jackie's Brickhouse, 1053 Marina Bay Dr, Kemah, TX, 77565.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
