With heavy hearts, the family of Maxwell John Henley shares the passing of our beloved son, brother, and dear friend, who left this world on March 23rd at the age of 19.

Max was born on December 16th, 2006, in Webster, Texas. Max had a way of making everyone feel truly loved and cared for, no matter the circumstances. His selflessness and generosity were simply part of who he was; he would give anything he had, even his last penny, to help someone in need. His contagious smile and laughter could light up any room and brighten even the hardest days, and above all, Max's love for Jesus was evident in the way he lived and in how deeply he loved others.

Max had one of the most special hearts in this world. He always saw the good in everything and carried a genuine happiness that made people feel at ease. Max was never materialistic; what he valued most was time with the people he loved. He was always one to reach out first, making sure you knew you were on his mind. When you talked to him, he made you feel like you were the most important person in the world, as if you were the only one he wanted to talk to. He could sit on the phone with you for hours, just talking and listening. Being with others meant everything to him; he was so kind, so lovable, and truly one of a kind.

Max was the ultimate tinkerer; he could fix just about anything and was always the handyman of the family. He was also incredibly hardworking and never gave up until he figured things out and made them work. Growing up Max loved airplanes, and as he got older, he turned that passion into working on them with his grandpa and uncle. He loved spending time at the beach, going to the gym, and fishing, and was always up for exploring or going on a hike. More than anything, though, he simply loved being around the people he cared about.

Though Max's time here was far too short, the impact he made will stay with us forever. The love he gave so freely lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and we will carry him with us in the stories we share, and the laughter we remember.

He is survived by his loving parents, Sarah and David Slovarp, and Chuck and Cean Henley; his sisters, Addison Henley and Rylann Slovarp, and brother Nicolas Henley. He is also survived by stepsiblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and his cat "Cat".

The family will receive friends at Sagemont Church, Monday, April 6th, from 11:00am until 12:00pm., the service will follow at noon.
