Mary Ann (Mimi) Chance was called home on November 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents Soren and Anna Marie Pedersen, sister Dorothy Sanders and brother Poul Pedersen. She is survived by her son Mark and wife Catherine, three grandchildren Duncan and wife Lorie, Jessica and husband Aaron, and Joey and wife Maggie along with her four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Becky Owens and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends far and near.

Mimi was born in Austin, Texas on June 9, 1930. She graduated from high school and moved to the Houston area where she met her husband, John. They were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church on February 16, 1952; and in 1954, their son Mark was born. Mimi opened Memory Lane Antiques in the early 1970's and continued in the antique business for over 40 years.

Mimi loved her church family at Redeemer and the many friends she made in her lifetime. She will be missed but we are comforted knowing she is with her Lord and her family in heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5700 Lawndale Houston, Texas 77023.

The service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Tuesday, December 6, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park East.
