Mary Beth Fitzmorris, 81,passed awayFebruary 12, 2022,with her friends and family by her side.Mary Beth wasa devoted wife, mother, sister, nana, friend, and more. She wasan active member in her community and a friend to everyone she met.

She was born August 29, 1940, in Syracuse, New York to Charles and MildredSellwood. In 1973,she moved to Florida with her two children,Robertand Debbie, and met the love of her lifeTomFitzmorris. Shortlyafter they gotmarried,they moved to Texas City and eventually made their roots in the Southbeltcommunity and had a son, Daniel.They werea true love story and were happily married for over 38years beforeTom'passing in 2011.

Mary Bethis survived by her children, Debbie Hughes, RobertWilkie,Daniel, his wife Jessica, her grandchildren Ella and Thomas, her brother RichardSellwood, and her cousin Maureen Olsen. She was preceded in death by her parentsMildred and CharlesSellwood, her husbandTomFitzmorrisandher sister-in-law Joan Fitzmorris.

Mary Bethworked many jobs in herlife,but nothing meant as much to her as becoming a Registered Nurse at the age of 47. She worked as a Psychiatric Nurse and Auditor before finally retiring. Mary Beth can be described as a fun-loving, caring individual who loved almost everybody.She said the best years of her life, besides being a mother and nana,werewhen her and Tom were connected to Sagemont Cowboysand the "50-YardLine Club" at Dobie.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pmat Peevey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at 11:00amat St. Luke the Evangelist CatholicChurch, 11011 Hall Road, Houston 77089.
