Mary Ann Draper went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 15, 2022. She was born on October 10, 1943, in Houston, Texas, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Edith Meadows, her sister, Betty Kay Wallace, and one precious grandchild, Dana Ward. She is survived by her husband, Walter David Draper; two daughters, Susan Ward and Judy Grant; son-in-law James Grant; grandchildren, Laura Miller and her husband Daniel, Brian Ward and his wife Phuong, Elizabeth Grant, Zackery Grant; great grandchildren, Gracen Miller and Caden Miller; sister Becky Barrett and her husband Frank, and numerous family and friends.

Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

David and Mary Ann married in 1961. They had two wonderful girls. While pregnant with her second child, Judy, Mary Ann fell ill with a virus that settled in her brain. But, God still had plans for Mary Ann.

While in intensive care, she only knew the presence of the Lord. Later, Mary Ann learned to crawl and walk. She even learned to drive. She went on to lead a blessed life. Along with her husband, David, they raised their two girls. God truly blessed our family with her presence.

Mary Ann was a faithful member of Sagemont Church, since 1972, often serving in the children's ministry. Previous church memberships included Garden Villas Baptist Church and Forest Oaks Baptist Church.

Mary Ann is still singing and praising Jesus! Amen.

The family will receive family and friends from 10am until 12 noon Friday, November 18, at Peevey Funeral Home.
