With great sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Martha Reyes, 61, in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, suffering an acute pulmonary embolism.

Martha was born on January 21, 1962, to Jose Angel and Aurora Reyes in Kingsville, Texas.  She was known for her incredible work ethic and gift & love for cooking. Her pan de polvo cookies were the best. Martha had an unwavering love for her children and grandchildren.

From a very young age, she was a fiercely independent and private person, however, given time and attention, you would discover she was very generous, kind and knew how to have a good time.

She is survived by her two daughter, Gloria, and her grandchildren, William, Aiden, Abigail, and Dylan, and great-grandson, Aspen.  Her mother, Aurora Reyes, and her siblings Linda, Cynthia, Sandra, and Joe.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Angel Reyes, and her son Mataeo.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am., Saturday, September 30th, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, Texas. A luncheon will follow in the reception area of the funeral home.
