Our beloved mother, Martha Herrera, age 88, born  February 22, 1937, passed away peacefully on Tuesday  April 14, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Martha was born in McAllen, Texas, to Benito and Pauline Moreno. She graduated from McAllen high school, (Bulldogs) and attended the University of Houston.

Martha's proudest career accomplishment was working in purchasing at Northrop Services as a NASA Contractor.

Martha loved spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for reading, especially Danielle Steele novels. Her hobbies included dancing, fishing, gardening, and boating. Her latest hobby was playing cards with the family. We will always cherish the memory of her extraordinary love and kindness.

Her loving husband of 42 years, Richard, always had a special place in her heart, and she will always be his Vida. Our mother loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. As a grandmother, she was unparalleled, always indulging in her grandchildren, no matter the circumstance.

Our mother is survived by her husband Richard Herrera, her three beautiful children Maria Yvette Jimenez, Lisa Marie Galicia, and Adolph Moreno Herrera. Her grandchildren, Richard Ornelas III, Nessie Jimenez, Michael Adolph Herrera-(Crystal), Arianna Herrera, and Meilani Herrera. Her great grandchildren, Alex Ornelas, Richard Ornelas IV, Khloe Herrera, Antonio Ornelas, and Kamila Herrera. We take comfort and knowing that our mother is now in a loving care of Jesus, celebrating the life she lived and the internal life she'll have with him. Thank you for your kind condolences; she's at peace. We love you dearly, mom.

The funeral service will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, Thursday, April 24, at 11:00am., the Rosary will be prayed at 10:30am.
