Some people come into this world quietly, and then there are people like Mario, who came into this world full of energy, laughter, and a personality nobody could ever forget.
On October 31, 2026, at just 33 years old, Mario Xavier Gomez departed this life, leaving behind a lifetime of unforgettable memories and a love that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Known as “Max” to his close family and lovingly called “Xavier” by his sisters, Mario was the youngest of his siblings. From the time he was a little boy, he was full of life, always hyper, always into something, and always finding a way to make somebody laugh. Being the youngest didn't stop him from having one of the biggest personalities in the family. He was a jokester, a character, and a true OG. If Mario was around, you could almost guarantee somebody was laughing. Whether he was cracking jokes, teasing someone, or just being his naturally funny self, he had a way of making even the simplest moments unforgettable.
One thing about Mario that everyone will remember was his smile. He had the brightest smile in the room, the kind of smile that could light up an entire room without him even saying a word. His smile was contagious, just like his laughter. He had a way of bringing life into every room he walked into, and his presence was something you couldn't help but notice.
As he grew older, that playful little boy never completely went away. Mario was still that same funny, energetic kid at heart, just grown up with responsibilities and a family of his own.
One of Mario's greatest joys and biggest blessings in life was becoming a father to his two sons, Jacob and Christian. The day his boys were born, he became the happiest father. They were his world, his pride, and his greatest accomplishments. There was no greater title to Mario than being their dad. He loved his boys more than words could ever explain, and he was so proud of the little people they were becoming.
He was proud of his oldest son, Jacob, and had his own special way of showing it. He would always tell him, “It's game day, it's game day!” One memory that will forever be cherished was their “love hugs” — a special hug shared between Mario, Jacob, his mom, and his little brother. It was a simple family tradition, but one filled with so much love that will never be forgotten.
And when it came to his youngest son, Christian, Mario had a special saying that those closest to him will always remember: “That's my dog!” He would say it with so much love and pride. It was his own special way of showing off his baby boy and expressing the bond they shared. Those three little words will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who heard him say them.
Mario loved football, a passion he carried with him from childhood all the way through high school. He enjoyed playing the game and making memories along the way. As he became a father, one of his greatest joys was watching his own boys follow in his footsteps and develop a love for football. He loved taking Jacob and Christian to their practices and games, being there to watch them play, and seeing them grow in a sport that had been such a big part of his own childhood. Watching his boys play football brought him a special kind of happiness. He wasn't just taking them to practice or going to games; he was making memories with his sons and sharing something he loved with them. His boys were his biggest blessings, and being their father was the greatest joy of his life.
Mario was also a loving uncle who had a special place in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He was the kind of uncle who could joke around and bring his playful personality wherever he went. He had a way of making family gatherings more entertaining just by being himself. The love he shared with his nieces and nephews will always be remembered.
Mario worked as an electrician, a trade that allowed him to put his skills and abilities to good use. He worked hard, but there was so much more to him than the work he did. He was a son, a baby brother, a father, an uncle, and a friend.
To his siblings, he will always be their baby brother. To his sisters, he will always be Xavier. To his close family, he will always be Max. To his boys, he will always be Dad. And to everyone who knew and loved him, he will always be Mario — the funny, energetic, big-smiling, one-of-a-kind man who could never be replaced.
Thirty-three years was not nearly enough time. There were still so many laughs to share, memories to make, and milestones to witness. There were more football practices and games to attend, more jokes to laugh at, more family traditions to share, and so many more moments he deserved to experience with his sons and family. There were so many more memories he should have had the chance to make as he watched his boys grow into the young men he always knew they could be.
Although Mario's life ended far too soon, his story does not end here. It lives on through Jacob and Christian, who will forever carry their daddy's love with them. It lives on through his siblings, who will always remember their baby brother, through his nieces and nephews, and through every person who has a story about the funny, hyper little boy who grew up to be a man nobody could forget.
Mario, Max, Xavier — three names, but one unforgettable soul.
We will miss your jokes, your laugh, your energy, and that bright smile that could light up any room. Because those are the very things that made you so special. Those are the memories that will bring tears to our eyes one moment and laughter the next.
Your boys will grow up knowing how much their daddy loved them, how proud he was of them, and how they were the greatest blessings of his life. They will remember his excitement for game day, the special “love hugs,” and the words he shared that made their relationship uniquely theirs. Christian will forever have his daddy's special words, “That's my dog!”
Your family will carry your memory in their hearts, your sisters will forever have their Xavier, your close family will always have their Max, and the world will never forget Mario.
Rest easy, Mario. Our Max. Our Xavier. Our forever young OG.
Forever 33. Forever loved. Forever our brightest smile. Never forgotten.
