Margaret Ann Davidson was born on August 11, 1936, to William Albert Blasingame and Jewel Evelyn Blasingame (Blackwell) in Goose Creek (now Baytown), TX.  She died June 25, 2026, at her home in Pasadena, TX.

At the age of nine she made the most important decision of her life when she accepted Jesus in her heart.  From a young age she loved music and started playing the piano. She soon learned to play the organ and began playing weddings when she was just 14 years old.

She was very active in her high school, Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, and was Queen of the Brigadiers as well as Queen of the Quack Shack.  She attended Sam Houston State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in music, but where, more importantly, she met a boy in the choir named Joe Davidson.  She earned her degree in three years and after graduation, she and Joe married in 1957.

The newlyweds moved to Havre de Grace, MD where Joe was stationed in the Army and where they welcomed their first child, Lisa, in 1958.  This was followed by a stint at Fort Bragg, NC where Karen was born in 1959.  Joe finished his service in 1960, and they moved back to Texas ending up in Pasadena. They welcomed a son, Daryl, to the family in 1962. They joined First Baptist Church of Pasadena in 1961 where Margaret and Joe both joined the choir.  Before long, Margaret started playing the piano for the church until she moved to the organ in 1973.  She continued as church organist until she retired in July of 2013.  She continued working as a music ministry assistant until just last month.

Besides music, Margaret was also involved in many other activities in the church through the years such as WMU, serving on the History committee, working with the youth and young adults, youth choir trips, Tuesday Bible Study and much more.  She loved her Savior, and she loved His church.

She is survived by her three children, Lisa Allen (Mike), Karen McPherson (Bill) and Daryl Davidson, 8 grand children: Christopher (Ruthie), Jennifer, and Heather Allen; Steven (Jessica), Ryan, and Corey McPherson; Sam, and Claire Davidson, and six great-grandchildren:  Jacob Reyes; Audrey, Whitney, and William McPherson; Emerald and Ivy Allen, along with numerous nieces and nephews and countless people who knew and loved her as Nana.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her parents, Albert and Jewel Blasingame and her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Joyce Ann Blasingame.
