It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marcos Cruz-Mejia. He peacefully departed this world on 5/28/2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, strength, integrity, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.  His death follows a heroic 10-year battle with cancer.

Born on 5/5/1960 in Honduras, Marcos was a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom for his family and friends. His genuine kindness, unwavering compassion and love for life touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to offer guidance and support, always willing to lend a helping hand or share his words of wisdom.

As a devoted family man, Marcos treasured the bonds he shared with his loved ones. He was a nurturing father to Melissa, Jorge, Marcos and Carlos, and a wonderful grandfather to Dayrin, Marco Antonio, Angel, Camilla and Noah.  He was a devoted son to Maria and a supportive brother to all his brothers and sisters.  Marcos was also a loving and supportive husband to Kathy.  His unconditional love, guidance, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

As we bid farewell to Marcos, let us carry his legacy forward in our hearts and actions. May his wisdom, love, and unwavering spirit guide us through life's challenges. Though he may no longer be physically present, we find solace in the hope of Christ's resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God's eternal kingdom.

The memory of our Marcos will forever remind us to live each day with gratitude, compassion, and the same joy for life that he exemplified.  And his spirit will forever live on, continuing to inspire us and reminding us of the importance of family, love, laughter, and, most importantly, faith in God.

We invite you to join us to celebrate Marcos Curz-Mejia's life at Peevey Funeral Home, Wednesday June 4, at 2:00 pm, with  visitation one hour prior to the service. Together, let us remember the countless memories we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the profound impact he had on our lives.
