It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Gale Kovarcik who departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 6, 2025, at the age of 83 years old.

Linda was born on May 8, 1942, in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated from Pasadena High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.  She lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and an unwavering love for those around her.  She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose warmth and generosity touched countless lives.

She is preceded in death by her husband Emil Kovarcik, her parents Hermann and Clarice Thiele, sister Jackie Sue Kashinski, brother Jack Nolan Jr., and daughter Tanya Davis.

She is survived by:

Children - Becky Hammons, Mindy Nixon, Connie Svoboda, Lynn Mensik and husband Gregory, Lee Kovarcik and wife Terry, John Kovarcik and wife Lynette. Grandchildren - Justin Hammons and wife Kristin, Ty Nixon, Travis Nixon, Taylor Nixon, Sheldon Svoboda and wife Christine, Misty Gore and husband Matt, Alissa Mensik, Lee J Kovarcik, Cory Kovarcik and wife Catherine, Johnathon Kovarcik and wife Darby, Dylan Kovarcik and wife Hannah, Kaitlyn Bosse and husband John.

16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild!

Brothers and sisters - Gloria Cook and husband Larry, Richard Nolan and wife Betty, Carol Davis and husband Darell, Patrick Nolan and wife Amy.  Her brother-in-law Mike Kashinski and wife Terry, Neice Cassie Munoz and husband Tom and their children Garrett and Garrison.  She also had many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her memory will be treasured forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

The service celebrating Linda's life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 16, 2025 – Peevey Funeral Home in Houston, TX.  Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the beautiful life she lived.

Though she is no longer with us in person, Linda's love, laughter and light will continue to guide us always.
