El 4 de Marzo de 2026, Leonor Huerta de Flores regresó a casa para estar con su Señor, Jesucristo.

Leonor nació hace 89 años en Pesqueria, Nuevo León, México. Fue una de 7 hijos y le sobreviven sus propios 7 hijos: Eduardo, Adriana, Leticia, Gabriela, Lourdes, Norma y Cecilia, 12 nietos y 7 bisnietos. También deja atrás a su hermano, Octaviano Huerta, su cuñada, María Elena Huerta, y varios otros familiares.

En 1967, Leonor emigró a los Estados Unidos, dejando atrás la vida, la familia, la cultura y el idioma que conocia. Aprendió a afrentar su nueva vida en los Estados Unidos con gran valentía. Esta fue la providencia de Dios y Su mano siempre guíandola es evidente al mirar atrás a las luchas y pruebas que ella superó con la gracia y Fortaleza de Dios y también en los momentos hermosos, el amor, la fe, la compasión y la bondad hacia los demás que brillaron intensamente en su carácter.

Su legado de fe fue lo que la ayudó a ella y a su familia a superar esta última prueba que enfrentó en los últimos meses de su vida. Puede que no entendamos por qué, pero sabemos que el mismo Dios que caminó a su lado en cada tormenta y en cada momento en la cima de la montaña, también estuvo con ella en cada paso en esta última etapa de su viaje, guiándola hacia su hogar eterno con Él en el cielo. Estamos agradecidos por la muestra de amor hacia nuestra querida madre. Damos gracias a Dios por enviarnos un ángel hermoso cuyo amor tocó a tantos. Ahora está completamente sanada y en presencia de su Rey Cristo Jesús.

On March 4, 2026, Leonor Huerta de Flores went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Leonor was born 89 years ago in Pesqueria, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was one of 7 children and is survived by her own 7 children: Eduardo, Adriana, Leticia, Gabriela, Lourdes, Norma and Cecilia, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Octaviano Huerta, her sister-in-law, Maria Elena Huerta, and various other relatives.

In 1967, Leonor emigrated to the United States, leaving behind the life, family, culture and language that was familiar to her. She learned to navigate her new life in the United States with great courage. This was God's providence and His guiding hand can be seen in looking back at the struggles and trials that she overcame by His strength and also in the beautiful moments, the love, faith, compassion and kindness toward others that shone brightly in her character.

Her legacy of faith is what helped her and her family through this last trial that she faced in the last months of her life. We may not understand why but we know the same God who walked beside her through each storm and through every mountain top moment, was also with her every step of the way in this final part of her journey, guiding her to her eternal home with Him in heaven. We are thankful for the outpouring of love for our beloved mom. We thank God for sending us a beautiful angel whose love touched so many. She is now fully healed and in the presence of her King Jesus.
