Kollene Hyland Trotti, 61, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2026.

Born on June 21, 1964, in Rockford, Illinois, Kollene lived a life defined by strength, independence, and a deep, unwavering love for her family. From a young age, she showed remarkable resilience—setting out on her own at just 13 years old, hitchhiking from California to Texas and learning to support herself. That same determination carried her through many of life's challenges and shaped the strong woman so many knew and loved.

Kollene was known for being incredibly stubborn, but that stubbornness was part of her strength. It helped her overcome hardships and stand her ground through life's toughest moments. Beneath that toughness was a heart that loved deeply and fiercely.

Family meant everything to her. She treasured time spent together—whether it was laughter, conversation, or simply being in each other's presence. Those moments were what she valued most and what she built her life around.

Kollene also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs and cats, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.

In recent years, she experienced the joy of discovering her biological family through AncestryDNA and was truly enjoying building those new relationships, adding another meaningful chapter to her life story.

She is survived by her son, John Trotti and his wife Jessica Trotti; her daughters, Kristin Trotti and Katie Trotti; and her beloved grandchildren, Heaven, Ethan, Jordyn, Jadyn, Isabella, Macy, and Kyrah, all of whom she loved beyond measure.

Kollene leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
