The Crawford family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Voss Crawford, who left this world on May 7, 2023. She was a beloved wife and mother, survived by her husband Richard Crawford, son Chad Crawford, grandson Kayden Crawford and granddaughter Morgan Crawford. She was predeceased by her son Richard Kevin Crawford, who left us in 2021. Kathy was an only child to Byron and Ruth Voss of Kerrville Texas.

Kathy attended Tivy High School class of 1968 where she met Rick before he went to Vietnam to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. Kathy waited for his return and they married on May 20, 1972. Kathy graduated from the University of Houston and was a proud Cougar alumni. Kathy went on to have a successful teaching career which led her to an amazing friendship that lasted a lifetime. She touched the hearts and minds of many of her students throughout the years.

Kathy was a remarkable woman who lived a life filled with love, compassion, and courage. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first, and her love and kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and her unwavering support for her family and friends.

Kathy's final resting place will be the Houston National Cemetery under the care of Peevey Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life on May 20, 2023 at the Houston Police Officers' Union located at 1600 State St., Houston, Texas 77007 from noon to 4pm where the family will have food and remember her great life. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the 100 Club (www.the100club.org)in her name.
