Karin Wright Macey 64, of Pasadena, Texas passed away after a courageous 3-year battle with ALS on Monday April 17, 2023, surrounded by family. Karin was born December 30, 1958, in Pasadena, Texas. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1977.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, John W. (Bill) and Margie Wright.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband Jack Macey; daughters Brooke Hevner and husband David, Brittany Foster and husband Chris; grandchildren Easton Hevner, Tatum and Cadence Foster; stepchildren Chris Lewis, Tiffany Harper and Samantha Macey; brother Russell Wright and wife Rhonda, sister Susan Croft and husband Jeff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karin was a loving wife, sister, mother, and GG (there are a lot of GG's but by her definition she was "Gorgeous Grandma"). She retired in November 2019 after working many years as a project manager for a graphic design company. Karin enjoyed being around family and friends, playing games, traveling, listening to live music, and being social. If you knew Karin, you knew her passion for dancing. You could find her on any dance floor either two stepping, salsa, rumba, or her own trademark such as the "Jack-Karin dance." We will never forget her smile that would light up the room, her signature laugh, and her fun-loving antics.

From a young age she was always known as the mother hen and this continued throughout the years to everyone she knew and loved. She would give motherly advice to anyone who would listen as she was "older and wiser," this became her saying. She was a selfless person who would put others needs before her own without hesitation. Karin always loved to tell everyone they were her "favorite" but in the end she was the FAVORITE.

She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and will live in our hearts forever.

The service will be held at First Baptist Church of Pasadena, Friday April 21, at 11:00am, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena for those who wish to join.
