Julio was called home to be with the Lord on 10/5/23.  He was known to all that loved him as "the most interesting man in the world".  He had an illustrious military career having served in 3 branches of the military- Air Force, Army and in Public Health Service under the Department of the Navy.  He served his country for over 30 years of combined military service.  In addition, he continued to serve his community as an undercover narcotics officer, a member of the National Guard, a member of Border Patrol, a nurse, a physician and an educator.

Julio was preceded in death by his parents, Julio E. Garcia, Sr and Pura Conception Morales Garcia and his brothers, Eddie and Edwin.  He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Hilda, and his children Julio, Ralph and Aimee, as well as their spouses Elizabeth (Julio), Eric (Aimee) and grandchildren Valerie, Raimond, Sarah, Courtney, Rachel, Alyssa, Emily; great-grandchildren, Julianna, Kyla, Greyson, Noah and Elijah; and his beloved friends and caregivers Susy Lara Maza and Berta Diaz.

Julio will be laid to rest on November 17, 2023 at the Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Legion.
