Julie Diane Reynolds Spretz passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 17, 2021 at the age of 47. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

On November 15, 1974 in Dallas, TX, Julie was born to Jimmy and Judy Reynolds. She graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1993. Julie married the love of her life, Steven Spretz, on May 27, 1995, and began her family with her loving husband. Julie was a mother to two amazing children, although she was more of a mother to all. She spent most of her life as the ultimate homemaker and selflessly giving to others. She enjoyed quality time with family and working on her creative small business with her mother.

Julie never met a stranger in her life that did not love her. She opened her doors to anyone in need. Her smile and contagious laugh would light up any room she walked into. Julie was the kind of person who made sure everyone was taken care of. The energy that she carried could make the dullest person happy. Julie never needed to be in the spotlight, instead she was the spotlight in every situation.

Julie loved to travel with her family. Throughout the years, she traveled across the world. Some of her favorite destinations included Austria, The Grand Canyon, Lapland, London, Paris, and many others. Making memories with her family was one of her favorite hobbies.

Julie is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Steven Spretz, grandfather, James Nixon, brother-in-law, John Spretz, grandmother, Juanell Spretz, uncle, Jimmie Easley, aunt, Joanie Simpson, and grandfather, Floyce Easley.

Julie is leaving behind her husband, Steven Spretz, daughter, Chelsea Bright-Spretz, daughter-in-law, Taylor-Bright Spretz, son, John Spretz, mother, Judy Reynolds, grandmother, Oleta Nixon "Granny", and father, Jimmy Reynolds and his wife, Wanda Reynolds. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Stephanie Spretz, her four beautiful nieces that saw her as a second mother, her siblings, Becky, Stormie, and Bubba, mother-in law, Carol Spretz, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom she treasured deeply.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, November 26, at Peevey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 27, at Memorial Baptist Church in Pasadena. A private burial will follow.
