Julia Gayle Steffenauer (Julie) of Deer Park, Texas, a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, passed away peacefully on September 12, surrounded by members of her loving family at 83.

Julie was born on March 29, 1943, in the West Texas town of Seymour. She spent her life being a friend to everyone she met. Lovingly known as "Grand Mommy," Julie was devoted to sharing her faith and leading others to Jesus. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she brought a smile, joy, and love to those around her.

A member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena for more than 50 years, Julie dedicated herself to serving the Lord and leading others to Christ. Much of that time was spent teaching children about Jesus in Sunday School. She retired from Lubrizol Deer Park after a 30-year career marked by caring for and serving others.

Julie is survived by her sons and their spouses, Ronnie and Rebecca Steffenauer, and Paul and Jennifer Steffenauer; her grandchildren, Jennifer Beckham, Jeffery Steffenauer, Blake Steffenauer, Julie Diebold, and Alex Steffenauer; her great-grandchildren, Molly and Jacob Steffenauer, Madelyn Beckham, Henry and Harvey Diebold, Addison, Knox, and Tucker Steffenauer, and Mac Steffenauer; her sisters, June Shultz and Betty Redford; and her brother, Lloyd Cunnigham Jr.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Cunningham; her father, Lloyd Cunningham Sr.; and her sister, Nancy Branham.

The service honoring Julie's life will be held at 11:30am, Friday, September 18, 2026, at First Baptist Church Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505, with visitation held one hour prior to the service.
