Judith (Judy) Perkins, affectionately known as 'Judy P', passed away at the age of 86 on October 8, 2024. Born on March 5, 1938, in Houston, Texas, Judy graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1956 and was a member of the Scottish Brigade. She furthered her education at San Jacinto College, where she was recognized as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

In 1972, Judy, along with her husband Herman and their children, moved to Pearland, Texas, where she became a beloved and active member of the community. Her involvement in the National Exchange Club, Pearland Chamber of Commerce, and The Lions Club, among others, earned her recognition for her significant contributions to the quality of life in Pearland. Her leadership and professionalism were acknowledged at both local and state levels.

Judy was a woman of faith and cherished her family and friends. Known for her adventurous spirit, she was a member of the 'Happy Hoofers' hiking group and traveled across the country to explore scenic trails. She also enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong, earning a reputation for her competitive nature. As 'Mimi', she took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's achievements.

Judy is survived by her brothers Mike and Don Meyers; her children Chris Perkins (Becky Perkins) and Brenda Hebert (Tom Hebert), and daughter-in-law Diane Perkins; her grandchildren Kristen Walker (Matt Walker), Blake Perkins (Mary Elizabeth Perkins), Bryce Perkins (Hunter Perkins), David Kowis (Rebekah Kowis), Sera Perkins, Emily Kulhanek (Cody Kulhanek), Jason Kowis, and Emily Hebert; and her great-grandchildren Beckett Perkins, Amelia Perkins, Scottie Perkins, Lenox Walker, Harper Perkins, Paisley Perkins, Kathryn Kowis, Ezra Ware, and Eli Ware. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Perkins, her son Rick Perkins, her parents Helen and George Meyers, and her brother Charlie Meyers.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:30am at First United Methodist Church Pearland, located at 2314 N Grand Blvd, Pearland, Texas 77581, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Judy's legacy of love and service will be cherished by all who knew her.
