Judith Ann Goodman, 68, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 29, 1956, in Houston, Texas, Judith brought warmth, understanding, and compassion to all whose lives she touched. Judith was a beacon of compassion, self-sacrifice, and dedication throughout her life.

A dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, friend, and educator, Judith is lovingly remembered by her husband, Glen Goodman; her three sons and their wives, Bradley and Misti Payne, Cory and Hildy Payne, and Blake and Samantha Payne; her two step-daughters Michelle Spurlock and Christine Goodman; her seven grandchildren Cayden, Charles, Emilia, Leo and Maximus Payne, Crystal Fagnana, and Sam Spurlock; her two great-grandchildren Jaxon and Easton Johnson; her mother, Judy Lamontagne; her three sisters and their husbands, Gail and Casey Ward, Ele and Brian Manry, and Laurie and Greg Baxa; her niece and nephews Blaine and Brian Manry, Casey and Nicholas Ward, and Emily and Bubba Baxa; and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Lamontagne. Judith's life revolved around her family, for whom she gave her unconditional love and unwavering support, cherishing every moment together at family gatherings and adventures near and far.

Judith dedicated her life to education, earning her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from the University of Houston. Judith spent 35 years as a dedicated classroom teacher, a district instructional specialist with Pasadena Independent School District, and an adjunct professor for the University of Houston. The first 20 years of her career consisted of classroom experience at the elementary through high-school levels. Her skill as a master teacher was recognized by her school district, and she became a district-level instructional specialist. In addition, she served as a writing specialist, guiding students and teachers to meet the state's writing standards. Throughout her long and impactful career, she not only inspired generations of students but also mentored countless fellow teachers. One of her greatest educational accomplishments was publishing a set of books, Interactive Notetaking for Content-Area Literacy for elementary and secondary teachers, which focused on working with teachers to increase student engagement leading to student success. Judith's commitment to learning, compassion, and unwavering dedication made her a beloved figure in the school community and beyond. Even after retirement, Judith continued teaching, finding fulfillment in guiding others and fostering a love of knowledge.

Judith found joy in traveling, exploring new destinations, and especially in the time she spent with her grandchildren, children, family and friends. Her warmth and welcoming presence left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

A devout Catholic, Judith's faith guided her in all she did. She found happiness in spending quality time with friends and loved ones, always putting others before herself with grace and humility. All who knew Judith will remember her as loving, understanding, and always willing to put others before herself. Her legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, both in the classroom and in the way she lived her life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judith's life and legacy at Peevey Funeral Home on August 23, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a service at 3:00 p.m.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support through this difficult time. Judith's legacy of love and dedication to others will be cherished always. Judith's passion for education, enduring friendships, and love for her family will never be forgotten.
