Juanita (Nita) Faye Davis was a strong, dedicated, honorable, God-fearing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She never completely recovered from a fall she took in October. After several months, she lost her battle and left this world to be with her maker on February 28, 2022, just weeks prior to her 89th birthday.

Nita was born to Eddie and Francis Miller on March 16, 1933 in San Saba, TX. She was one of five siblings. After dropping out of school at the age of 13 she received her GED as an adult. It was not an easy task as she was in her 40s. Nita retired as a bookkeeper, from Mosbacher's in 1992.

She married Charles DeViney (deceased) in 1953. Together they had 3 children: Deborah, Charles and Angela.

She was an amazing artist, even though she never received formal instruction or training. She was an avid bowler, her entire life, competing in bowling tournaments into her 80s. A devoted Christian and church member at First Baptist Church, where she met her husband, Joe Davis. She continued to read and study the Bible on a daily basis.

Nita is survived by her husband, Joe Davis and his family. Children Deborah, Charles and Angela. Grandchildren; Stephen, Stephanie (husband Julian), Daniel (wife Emily), Charles (wife Emily), Great Grandchildren; Taylor, Ashlyn, Stephen (Stephen's), Colter Jacob, Caleb (Stephanie's) and Cooper (Daniel's). Sisters Glenda and Hazel and many nephews and nieces. Her dog LuLu.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Pkwy., Pasadena, TX. Tuesday, March 8, at 10:00am., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX.
