Joseph Belvin Boswell, 75, of Pasadena, TX, passed away on August 27, 2023.  He was a Deacon at Memorial Baptist Church, Pasadena TX, and was active in several ministries there. The Children knew him as "Mr Belvin" and fellow church members remember him as a man with a big smile, a firm handshake, a kind heart, a strong work ethic, a love for people of all walks of life, and a strong faith in Jesus. Belvin valued integrity and treated people with respect. He served two years in the US AF and retired from Lyondell Equistar of Channelview, Tx.

Belvin was preceded in death by his parents Belvin Walker Boswell and Gladys Cook Boswell and his brothers Lester Walker Boswell and Glover Dan Boswell and their children.  He is survived by his wife Sharon and his sons Paul Belvin Boswell of Kemah TX and John Kevin Boswell and partner Phillip of San Mateo CA; three grandchildren Blake, Aimee (Scott) and Kristen, great-grandson Easton Paul Mancuso; Belvin is also survived by his sister Anne Tate of Olathe, Kansas and family; brothers Bobby & wife Mattie of Lawrenceville GA their children Rob (LeighAnne) and grandchildren Bailey and Brett; and  Christie (Ben), their children Will And Mattison; Charles & wife Geni of Manchester GA and their son Matt; and a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank friends and family for their love and support, and Peevey Funeral Home staff for their help and kindness at this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, Pasadena TX, at 10:00 am Saturday, September 2, 2023, followed by the funeral service at 11:00. Interment will be held Tuesday, September 5, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston. Tx
