On Monday, October 31, 2022, Jorge Arturo Sanchez Lucio, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord at the age of 43 years old. He was born on April 05, 1979, in Houston, TX.

Jorge is survived by his loving parents Jose Omar and Leticia Sanchez, his two daughters Layla and Victoria, with whom he was a totally devoted father, and the mother of his children Sadie. As well as two other children whom he loved as his own and helped raise, Melissa and Evangelina. His beloved siblings: Omar, his wife Monica, their children Evan, Scarlett, and Juliet, his sister Leticia, her husband Daniel, their children Xavier, Lisette, Isaac and Daniel, his brother Roberto, his wife Natalie, their children Kai, Luna, and Jet.

For Jorge, his children were his life. He spent much of his time with his two daughters who were his pride and joy. He had the most adventurous spirit. He wouldn't just take his girls on adventures, he would actively participate with them. From playing tag in the park, to skiing, and jumping on trampolines. He brought joy to his children, nephews and nieces which also brought him joy. He was widely considered the "favorite uncle".

Jorge had many passions from music to long conversations and debate. He had a courageous and fearless spirit and was an inspiration to us all. But more than anything, he was the type of guy who would be your rock in tough times. He was wise when you needed advice, generous when you were in need, strong when you needed a helping hand, and trueful when you needed honesty. To know Jorge was to love him.

Jorge was very passionate towards anything he set his mind to. He graduated from the University of Houston in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems. He began working with UT Health in 2003 starting with the Pediatric Research Center creating databases. He progressed to the Children's Learning Institute and subsequently the Institute of Molecular Medicine as part of the User Experience and Support Team (UXS) where he felt deeply connected with colleagues and work friends. We are very grateful to see that he was well loved at his work.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family but will always continue to live on in us. The Sanchez family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support and ask that you remember Jorge for the great man that he was. Share the great memories we have of him and we look forward to a day that we will see him again.

The service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, November 4, at 6:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
