Jonathan Webster McEvoy Sr, 51, of La Porte, Texas passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2024, and is now at rest with the Lord. Born on October 3, 1972, in Pasadena, Texas, to Mila and Webster McEvoy III, Jonathan lived a life rich in love, service and dedication.

He attended Pasadena High School and graduated in 1991. He went on to enlist in the United States Army, serving his country from May 1992 to February 1996. He served with honor, including time stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and an overseas assignment in Korea. His time in the military was marked by commitment and pride, reflecting his deep sense of duty.

After his military service, Jonathan worked in sales, construction, carpentry and obtained a real estate license.

A man of many passions, Jonathan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his love of camping, where he found peace in the great outdoors, listening to music, playing with his dog and playing his guitar. His kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his children were his greatest legacy.

Jonathan Sr. is survived by his children, Jonathan Webster McEvoy Jr. of La Porte, Texas; Ashton Ireland McEvoy of Houston, Texas; Gavin Rafferty McEvoy of San Antonio, Texas; his former wife, Delma McEvoy, with whom he shared a marriage of 28 years; his sister Joanna and brother-in-law Tommy Hendrix; his stepmother Patsy McEvoy; his three nieces and four nephews.

The family will honor Jonathan's life with a service at Peevey Funeral & Cremation on October 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. His life and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
