Jo Carnabuci (nee Neal), 93, passed away May 3, 2023, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Santo L., and her daughter Anna Christina Berman (nee Carnabuci). She is survived by her brother Glenn Neal (Eleanor), her son Chuck Carnabuci (Linda), her two daughters Victoria Esse (Norman) and Dorris (Toni) Antoinette Howard (Jeff), her Son-in-law Robert Berman, her grandchildren Kim (Sean), Brittani Garcia (Jairus), Hallie Berman, Kasey Berman, Allison Evans as well as many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great nephews and nieces.

Jo was born in Watertown, Tennessee and moved to Baltimore, Maryland when she was 18. Her sister Sue introduced her to her future husband, Santo, and they married the next year. After the births of Chuck and Vicky, they moved to Texas to be closer to her mother and for better job opportunities. Tina and Toni were born soon after that. Jo was a full time homemaker until the youngest was in high school, when she worked as a secretary for a filming company until she retired. She was active in her children's lives and volunteered with the St. Frances Cabrini Altar Society for many years and was an active member of the St. Frances Cabrini Women's Quilting Group that made quilt donations to hospitals and church charities. Upon her retirement, she and Santo travelled the US visiting family and this country's wonderful sights. After traveling, they settled into a more quiet life with family and friends. Jo liked to sew and read and visit with friends on the phone as recent as days before her passing. The family would like to thank her caregiver of several years, Valerie Folds and all of her neighbors and friends who would check on her regularly after the passing of her husband and until her death.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12444 Beamer Rd. Monday, May 8, at 2:00pm., with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family would like attendees to wear something that is pink if possible, Jo's favorite color.
