Jerry Ray Rhame, 81, went home to be with Jesus on March 28, 2025. Jerry was born in Glenmora, Louisiana, on April 4, 1943 to parents Van Melder Rhame and Beulah Lonsberry Rhame. Jerry was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and cherished friend. His presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him.

Born with a heart as vast as the great outdoors he so dearly loved. Jerry spent his life embracing the simple joys of hunting in the quiet woods, casting a line into still waters, and sharing stories that could make anyone smile. He was a man of unwavering dedication, spending 50 years working for the Port of Houston, where his hard work and integrity earned the respect of many.

Above all, Jerry was a family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife Terrye Hendry Rhame whose love and devotion were the foundation of his life. His daughters Debbie Moye (Tommy), Deanna Straight (Roger) and his son Jim Rhame (Nenita & son Ethan) will forever carry his wisdom and kindness in their hearts. Grandchildren Robert LeBlanc (Lindsey), Ryan Moye (Chelsea Willis) were his pride and joy, and his great grand-daughter Avery LeBlanc was the light of his life. Jerry's love extended far and wide, touching the lives of countless nieces, nephews and friends who were fortunate enough to call him family.

Jerry's legacy is one of love, strength, and appreciation of life's simple blessings. His laughter, his stories, and the wisdom he shared will live on in the hearts of those he loved. Though he no longer walks beside us his spirit will forever be felt in the cherished memories he left behind.

We find comfort in knowing that Jerry is at peace in Heaven with our Lord and Savior watching over us with the same love and devotion he gave so freely in life.

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at First Baptist Church Pasadena, Texas with a memorial service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society, American Kidney Fund, St. Jude's Hospital, or an offering in memory of Jerry Rhame to First Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas.
