Jerry David Delafuente, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Jerry was born on January 4, 1971 in Pasadena, Texas, to Aida and Alfredo Delafuente. He proudly served in the United States Army for 23 years, including three tours overseas. During his service, he formed lifelong friendships with his brothers and sisters-in-arms, bonds that remained strong throughout the years.

Jerry was known for his quiet nature and quick wit. He had a special way of delivering humor at just the right moment and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh. He enjoyed gambling, going to the shooting range, riding his Harley, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry shared 30 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Irene. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He was a devoted father to his children and a proud grandfather who cherished every moment with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene; his children, Jerry Delafuente Jr and Annjanette Delafuente; his grandchildren, Daniel Matteo and Zenaida Lemoine; his siblings, Richard Delafuente (Alejandrina) and Nancy Rodgers; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Jerry's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation to celebrate Jerry's life will be held Sunday, March 22, from 4pm until 6pm. at Peevey Funeral Home.  The funeral  service will be held  Monday, March 23, at 11:00am. at  St. Pius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
