Jerry Ann Davis went to her heavenly home to be with her loving husband of 69 years, Winston L. Davis, February 11, 2025. She was born in Waco, Texas to Josie Viola Rappe and Jewel "Doc" C. Rappe. She was 84 years old.

Jerry was raised in Bellmead, Texas by her loving parents, with an older brother, Lt. Col J.C. Rappe, and younger sister Mina Lynn Ditullio.

As a teen, Jerry would go on to meet Winston, the love of her life, a young Air Force man from Alabama stationed in Waco,Tx. Winston, "Bocephus" and Jerry Ann would marry in 1956 making their first home in rural Alabama where her first child Debbie was born. In 1959 they would return to Texas settling in Pasadena where she had three more children. (Jerry never claimed to be a country girl.)

Jerry was a fabulous homemaker, making sure her children had everything they needed and a lot of things they wanted. She was a perfectionist who never colored outside the lines which showed in all she did from crafts, to sewing, to teaching her children how to be thankful and frugal. She made her delicious mini pecan pies by the dozens during the holidays and shared them with all her family and friends. Jerry Ann was a lady of many hats none more important than being "Ma" to her grandkids whom she cared for.

Ma loved babies the most of all. She worked in the nursery at Second Baptist and taught Sunday school. She was grandma to her daughters first grade classes. She had a huge doll collection and would make wonderful baby blankets for new moms. Even in failing health she would always notice the babies and smile.

For most of Ma's marriage she let Winston think he was the boss but in her later years she let it be known she was a "lady of leisure" having him take her out to Casa Ole, Luby's and Whataburger her favorite places to eat and socialize. A friend asked Winston once "where does your wife grocery shop?" He replied "Luby's".

Jerry is survived by her four children, Debbie Baugus & (Billy), Jimmy Davis & (Cindy), Roy Davis & (Stacey), Dee Davis & (Greg Kelso), sister Mina Lynn Ditullio. Also, survived by 4 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Jerry was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Winston L. Davis, her parents Josie Viola Rappe & Jewel "Doc" Rappe, her brother Lt Col J.C. Rappe, and her son-in-law Billy R. Baugus.

A special mention to the excellent and dignified care she received from her loving caregivers Marta, Jessica, Alma and of course Sherilyn "AKA" the Morning Girl. She was truly loved by all these ladies.

Jerry's visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home 12440 Beamer Rd. Houston Texas 77089 on February 19, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. with a graveside service following at 12:30 p.m. at Grand View Memorial Park 8501 Spencer Hwy Pasadena Texas 77505.
