Jennifer Carlisle Jamison passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2022, due to kidney complications stemming from a 17 year battle with multiple myeloma. She was surrounded by her children, her twin sister, and her two Persian kitties. She crammed many lifetimes into one 75 year adventure, and she approached each day with the attitude of WHAT CAN I DO TODAY? She loved fiercely and protectively, and set high standards for loyalty and hard work and sheer grit. To know her and to have her in your corner was a blessing.

Jennifer "Lou" entered this world on July 9, 1946 alongside her twin sister Janet "Sue", in Kilgore, Texas. These beautiful baby girls were the final two of eight children born to Otho Jeffie "Daddy Jack" Carlisle and Maureen "Momma Pete" Macon Miller Carlisle. Jennifer spent her early years in East Texas before the Carlisle family relocated to Pearland in 8th grade. She made friends easily and was very social. Jennifer always said that she never felt anxious or alone when walking into a new classroom in a new town because she had her twin and best friend Sue with her. She attended Pearland High School, where she was elected Homecoming Queen in 1962 and was a twirler in the band. She graduated from PHS in 1964 and briefly attended Sam Houston State University before marrying Pearland local John Jamison.

John and Jennifer had five children – Janet, J.C., Joetta, Julie and Jaymee - all of whom graduated Pearland High School. Jennifer filled her motherhood years with school and church activities, and the amazing pool parties hosted at 2113 N Grand Blvd are legendary. The Jamison family went on fun family vacations where Jennifer waterskied and snowskied. She rode bicycles and taught roller skating to kindergarteners at the First Baptist Church in Pearland. She taught herself to sew, and her children's Barbie clothes were next-level couture. She could twirl a baton like nobody's business and do amazing tricks on the trampoline. She danced.

As a Grammy, she took her grandgirls to New York and her grandboys to New Braunfels. There were tea parties, and beauty school/dress-up parties complete with hair products, make-up and real jewelry. She planted flowers each Spring hoping against hope THIS would be the year she would remember to water them. She burned the dinner rolls every holiday and would just quickly scrape the tops off, making them perfect.

Jennifer did the matching holiday family PJs WAY before that was even a thing, sewing them all herself…her children and nieces/nephews have the pictures to prove it! And the Christmas stockings…everyone present in her home on Christmas had a personalized stocking, as Santa Claus always knew exactly who would be there.

She shared her faith in Jesus, and strived to live by the adage WWJD and truly let it be "What Would Jesus Do?" and NOT "What Would Jennifer Do?" She dreamed a few days before she died that Jesus spoke to her and told her she was healed and would walk again. Her loved ones can only imagine the joyful scene that unfolded in Heaven at 2:20 pm last Thursday as she left her weary body. And all who know her can have no doubt that she jumped right in to volunteer with the Resurrection Sunday festivities with her "Jenniferized" flair! What a wondrous time to arrive in Heaven…just in time for Easter! He is Risen!

Jennifer was a successful small business owner from the mid 1970s throughout the rest of her life, and felt so blessed to be able to manage both her family and work life from home. It began when she combined her love of decorating and design with her savvy business sense to open Walldecor by Jennifer. Next was a small local water utility company. Eventually her properties included another water utility company, a 20 unit apartment complex and a Boat/RV storage facility. She also took a position in the mid 1980s with Marriott Hotel in the Houston Medical Center, and was instrumental in creating, implementing and managing a concierge partnership between Marriott Hotel and Houston Methodist Hospital. That protocol exists today, and as a frequent patient at Methodist Hospital these last 17 years, Jennifer derived pleasure in knowing she helped sick people and their families feel a bit less like patients and a bit more like guests.

After she and John divorced, she met and married Doug Robey in 1988, and they travelled the world and lived in Florida for a few years, before returning to Pearland to start welcoming the grandbabies.

In 2004, Jennifer went into sudden kidney failure after a routine medical procedure, and learned she had multiple myeloma. She faced her health challenges with strength and dignity. We were all blessed to have her another 17+ years, mainly due to the selfless act of love from her precious twin – Sue gave her a kidney! Jennifer joked that she woke up from the successful kidney transplant with a desire to play tennis!

Jennifer lost her beloved husband Doug Robey to pancreatic cancer in 2006. She married and divorced Richard Lundstrom in her later years, and the family would like to thank him for helping care for Jennifer during that time.

Jennifer is survived by her five cherished children: Janet (Luke) Sweeney, J.C. (Autumn) Jamison, Joetta Zachary, Julie (Damon) Courtney and Jaymee (Lee) Boughton, and her fifteen perfect grandbabies: Madison, Max & Matthew Irving, Jáycee & Jackson Jamison, Shatrine Zachary, Julian, Norah & Violet Courtney, and Elijah, Juliette, Gwyneth, Lorelei, Elora & Theron Boughton.

In addition to her twin sister Janet "Sue" Toney, Jennifer is also survived by sisters Jean Jones and Jackie (Charlie) McGinty, brother Robert (Madonna) Carlisle, and sister-in-law Lana Carlisle. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Cliff Jones, sister Jody Dusek, brothers Johnny Carlisle and Jerry Carlisle, and son-in-law Kenneth Irving.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 22nd from 6-8pm at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 6pm at South Park Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581.

There will be a reception Saturday evening immediately following the graveside service at the home of Jaymee & Lee Boughton: 3302 Nottingham St., Pearland, TX 77581.
