It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jennie Elaine Leamons on September 20, 2024. She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Leamons and step-father Bill Colson, as well as her two daughters, Lucy-Grace and Lena-Ann Thornburg. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Roy Leamons and brother, Joshua Leamons.

Jennie was born on June 27, 1980 and graduated from Clearbrook High School In 1999. Jennie is remembered fondly by her school friends and family for her unique humor and quick wit, always delivered with a twinkle in her eye, showcasing her genuine desire to engage and connect. She had a remarkable ability to speak her mind, never shying away from sharing her thoughts, but always with a flair that made her words memorable.

Beneath her bold exterior was a warm heart, making her an unforgettable presence to those who knew her. She enjoyed working with children and taking care of her cats. Her spirit was a reminder to be kind, laugh, and never take oneself too seriously.

Jennie's family would like to thank Vitas Heathcare Hospice for the loving care given to her and her family. A special thank you to Jennie's wonderful friend, Sammy Christlieb for staying by her side.

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Peevey Funeral Home, where friends and family can come together to celebrate her life and the love she had for her daughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hospice Care to support those in need.
