Ivan Lockwood, 88, of Pasadena Texas passed away peacefully at home on 31st, July 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on 17th, April 1937, in Ipswich England to Fredrick and Alice Lockwood and a brother to Win, Jim and Doris (Dotty).

Ivan first met his wife Olive (Dee) at Claydon High School but did not start dating until they both attended the British Steel Pillions (BSP) work's Christmas party.

He was then drafted into the RAF to serve his 2yr compulsory National Service, on leaving the RAF he returned to work at the (BSP) where he worked for many years.

They were married at Coddenham Church on February 25th 1956 and shared 69 years together. He was a devoted and loving father to Leslie, Doreen, Elizabeth and Teresa and enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and his legacy lives on through them.

Ivan worked at BSP in the foundry and then as a lorry driver but returned to the foundry industry for the remainder of his work time in England at Hadleigh Castings before moving his family to Pasadena Texas where he continued his career in metal casting until he was forced to leave due to a brain aneurism. His recovery was long but managed to live a fairly normal life with the help of his devoted wife, family and friends.

Ivan and Olive enjoyed taking vacation abroad and especially cruising with Jack and Kay. When unable to travel anymore he liked nothing better than family gathering where he could tell the grandkids stories about "when I was your age"… and his love for Ipswich Town (his soccer team back home).

A service honoring Ivan's life will be held at 2:00pm., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston Tx 77089. A "celebration of life" will follow at 1614 Meadow Park Drive, La Porte, Texas.77571.

In lieu of flowers the family would like any donations to be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital Houston Texas.
