Edwin Hunter Harris III, beloved father, husband, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Friendswood at the age of 55. Born to Gailya and Ed Harris Jr. in Houston, TX on December 26, 1969, Hunter lived a life full of passion, purpose, and devotion to the things that mattered most to him: his faith, his family, his friends, his work, and his love for the outdoors.

A man of deep faith, Hunter's relationship with God was the foundation upon which he built his life. He exemplified kindness, integrity, and grace in all his interactions, making an impact on those around him through his quiet strength and unwavering commitment to his values.

His love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was a dedicated husband to his wife, Kerry, and a loving father to his children, Garrett, Drew, Hallie, and Torrie, always putting their needs first and guiding them with wisdom, humor, and love.

As a third-generation proprietor, Hunter was honored to maintain the legacy of Lansdowne-Moody, and the growth of the company was a reflection of his tireless work ethic and his passion for helping others. He built lasting relationships with his colleagues and customers, always striving to offer excellent service and support.

His enthusiasm for tractors and machinery was matched only by his devotion to his alma mater, Texas A&M University, where he, his siblings, and his children have continued the family tradition begun by his father. Whoop!

Outside of work, Hunter found joy in the great outdoors, particularly through his love for hunting. Whether he was enjoying quiet moments in nature or sharing his experiences with family and friends, he cherished the peace and connection that hunting brought him.

Hunter leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and a deep commitment to his family and community. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, siblings (Holly, Chad, and Rodney), extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held in his honor, and his family invites those who knew him to join them in celebrating his life and the profound impact he had on so many.

His celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Friendswood Global Methodist Church at 11 AM. And the reception will follow at Hope Village event center with lunch provided.
