Gregory John Maduzia was born in Houston, Texas on December 18, 1966, and passed away on July 28, 2023. Greg, the youngest of Johnny and Jackie Maduzia's children, was welcomed to the family by his older sister and brother. Greg enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with his family, spending countless weekends at Lake Somerville or in the piney woods of East Texas. Growing up in the neighborhood, he attended Atkinson Elementary, Beverly Hills Intermediate, and J. Frank Dobie High School where he developed many lifelong friendships.

An avid reader with an encyclopedic knowledge of music and almost any other subject, he possessed a wicked sense of humor.  Always creative, he put his carpentry skills to good use, even building his own chess set just because he loved the game. Quick with a smile, he enjoyed life, playing guitar for the beauty of it, riding his bike for the freedom of it, and living life in the moment.

He is survived by his son, Austin Maduzia (Olivia), of Boulder, Colorado, his parents, Johnny and Jackie Maduzia, of Houston, his sister, Brenda Maduzia (Mark), of Houston, his brother and sister-in law, David Maduzia and Heather Bailey, of Austin, and his nephews Kye Maduzia (Ayla), of Longmont, Colorado, and Bailey Shelton (Lynn) of Austin.

A service honoring Greg's life will be held Friday, August 4th, at Peevey Funeral Home 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas.  Visitation begins at 10 am with a service following at 11 am.  Reception after the service will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church 10727 Hartsook St. Houston, Texas.
