On December 23, 2023 our beloved mother and grandmother, Grace Ramos was called home to her eternal resting place with our Lord and Savior. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and family as she left this Earth.

Grace was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 23, 1949 to Alberto and Francis Martinez. She was the third born of four children. Her and her siblings grew up attending local elementary and secondary schools and she went on to graduate from Incarnate Word Academy in 1969. She later attended classes at Del Mar College while working as a teachers aide for West Oso ISD.

While working as a teacher's aide she met the love of her life Joe and they were married on November 7, 1977 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. Shortly after saying I do, they decided to make the big move to Houston, Texas to make roots and start their family. She was a devoted wife and loved and cared for her husband through sickness and in health. They were married for 35 loving years before Joe was called home on December 15, 2012. From their beautiful union came their four children, Michael Jason, Michele Francine, Kimberly Renee, and Alexander Joseph. These children went on to bless them with nine grandchildren, Nicolas Anthony, Gabriel Elijah, Isabella Grace, Camila Aubrey, Noah Ernest, Olivia Marie, Sofia Penelope, Sabrina Renee and Emma Rose.

Grace spent the majority of her career working in procurement at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. She retired in 2015 after 35 years working and moved into her full-time position of grandmother. She fully embraced this role and there was never an event or activity that she missed. Whether it was baseball, football, softball, golf, dance, theater or academics, she was there.

Grace was a beacon of love and kindness wherever she went. A small lady with a humongous heart. Her warmth and caring spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to meet and know her. Grace's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and deep commitment to her Catholic faith. Guided by her love for God, she was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church for 40 years. She displayed compassion and a spirit of generosity that touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

She had many hobbies including baking her famous cookies, cooking for her family, crocheting, or her favorite, shopping and spoiling her grandkids. She loved traveling in her retirement, especially with her siblings. You would often find her on a "trip" to Lake Charles once or twice a year. She was also fortunate enough to travel to Europe in 2022 for a pilgrimage with her sisters and brother-in-law.

Grace is preceded in death by her loving husband Joe, her parents, Francis and Alberto and her grandson, Noah. She leaves behind her four children, Michael (Monica) Ramos, Michele (Ernie) Guerrero, Kimberly (Carlos) Padua, and Alex (Isabel) Ramos as well as her eight grandchildren, siblings, Joe, Gloria and Gilda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is now reunited with her husband and family and will be greatly missed. Although our loss of her is great our love of God is greater and we know we will meet her again someday!

We will miss and love you always Mom.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:15 AM at St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church Saturday, January 13th. Following the rosary, a funeral mass will begin at 12:00 PM. There will be a procession to Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, TX immediately after mass for the burial of ashes. Please join the family for a celebration of life lunch. Location to be announced at the cemetery.
