Glenn Arthur Nickerson, born in Oakdale, Louisiana on May 2, 1945 to Arthur Nickerson and Mary LaFleur Nickerson, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He is survived by his son, his daughter, and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, his father, his mother, and his sister.

Glenn grew up with his parents and sister in Houston, Texas. He received the Holy Ghost at a young age, and thus began his walk with the Lord. He married his sweet wife, Ann, on October 13, 1973. He was blessed with a son, Arthur Wayne, on November 21, 1977, and a daughter, Christina Irene, on October 9, 1979. On January 27, 2009, he was delighted to welcome his granddaughter, Oniah Nirie, into his life.

Glenn believed in the power of prayer and the Word of God. Together with his wife, he taught his children to trust the Lord no matter what. Through the years, he welcomed many into his home that needed support and guidance. He was enthusiastic about meeting new people and connecting to those from other cultures and backgrounds.  He never met a stranger.  Even through his battle with Parkinson's in the later years of his life, he remained strong and never lost sight of his faith and belief in God's miracles and power. He was very deeply loved, and he will be so greatly missed.

The service celebrating Glenn's life will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 3, at Christ Church Apostolic, 12815 Fuqua, Houston, Texas 77034, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at 10:00am on Friday, August 4, at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
