Gilbert Joseph Brock, Jr. was born on March 7, 1958 in Metairie, Louisiana to Dorothy Virgil (Estave) Brock and Gilbert Joseph Brock, Sr. He passed away on January 1, 2023 at HCA Hospital.

Rocky's hobbies were cat-fishing, watching his favorite TV Shows (Westerns and Pawn Stars), hanging out with his dog Charlie, scratching lotto tickets, collecting carousel horse models, and dancing… whenever he wasn't busy doing any of these, you could find him working. He was a top-notch auto body and paint man since his early teens, working with his father Gil at their family business until his passing.

He had a heart the size of Texas and always had a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his family and he would do anything for anyone.

Left behind to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his life partner of 18 years Teri Brewington and her son Josh, his parents Gil and Dot, his brothers Randy, Brian, and Jeff Brock, his sister Sherry (Brock) Clemons and brother-in-law Roger Clemons, his daughter Brandi (Brock) DuPree and son-in-law Randy DuPree, grandkids Joseph Oglesby, Ty Oliver, Brett Oliver, Mikaela Sullivan, Alexander Fortier and Illa Fortier, great-grandson Blake Oglesby, nephews and nieces Colby and Allie Clarke, Greg and Cara Gillespie, Haley and Tanner Dubois, Ashley and Blake Sanders, great-niece Everly Gillespie and great-nephews Knox Sanders and Harrison Gillespie.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Angelina Josephine (Thibodeaux) and Ernest Etienne Estave, Beatrice (Roussel) and Murphy Brock Sr, his son Tommy Brock, his daughter Crystal Brock, and numerous aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you make a donation to your local animal shelter in Rocky's name.

Visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, January 27, from 6pm until 8pm. A private inurnment will be held at South Park Cemetery.
