George Robert Miller of the Clear Lake area, Tx, passed away September 6, 2023.  George was born on April 27, 1939 in Keokuk, Iowa, to George J. Miller and Mary Julia Walker, where he grew up.

Upon graduation George was accepted to the University of Norte Dame, where he graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  George took a job with Dow Chemical in Freeport, Tx, where it was a warmer climate, because he was tired of shoveling snow in Iowa.  He worked at a plant but eventually worked in an office in Houston writing manuals on how to operate refineries.

He first retired at age sixty, but soon was called to come back to work. He went back and stayed another fifteen years.  He retired a second time at age seventy five. He was a Pilot, Traveler, and an avid reader.  George loved to garden and always had a little garden in his back yard.  He was also a photographer, that turned into a side business called "Photos by George". He met his wife Elizabeth Diaz in 1972.  He loved spending time with his family.

George is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, son Robert Hudgins and wife Kathy, daughter Linda Bridges and husband Dana, daughter Christine Stanley and husband John, daughter Janet Robertson, Billy Nobles and fiancé Janie, eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren and his younger sister Julie Hinman.  George was an honorable, brilliant man, who deeply loved the Lord.  His family will greatly miss him.

To Honor his life a service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00am., with visitation one hour prior to the service.
