George Gardner, 60, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was born on September 20, 1962 to the late Michael Gardner and Carolyn (Gardner) Piper in Trenton, Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1980, rose to the rank of Boiler Technician Petty Officer Third Class and was honorably discharged in 1983. He was assigned to the USS Belleau Wood and in service to his country, he would meet his best friend, Mark Parenteau.

He met his wife, Cynthia (Sisovsky) Gardner, and started their family. They had three sons, Mark, Austin and Steven and one daughter, Amber. George and his family moved to the Houston area in 1994, where he started his career in sales. He loved spending time with his family and cherished every moment with them. His favorite hobbies were reading, writing and cooking.

Survived by: his wife of 35 years, Cynthia Gardner, his children, Mark, Austin, Steven (Natalie) and Amber, grandchildren, Stephen, Annabelle, Madalynn and Bailey, his mother, Carolyn Piper (Harry Thurkow), his brothers, Christopher Gardner and Timothy (DeAnna) Weaver, his sister, Deirdre (Eric) Kolm and his aunts, Brenda Reiter, Kristen Pierce and Lisa Longet and many other relatives.

He will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
