Geneva "Neva" Linzey Sloan went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2025 at the age of 89, with her family by her side. She can now walk, dance and breathe in Heaven!

Neva was born on June 18, 1935 in Leander, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby (Bob) F. Sloan who passed away in 2010, her parents Ed and Eva Linzey of San Saba, TX, brothers Robert, Homer, Edward, Rawley, and George Linzey, and sister Ella Mae Tomlinson. Neva was the youngest and last living sibling of this family.

Neva was always telling her family stories about her father being a Foreman on the King Ranch in Kingsville and all the memories she had. Her father died at the age of 101 in 1988, her mom passed away when she was 6 years old.

She is survived by her children, Keith Sloan, Edwin Sloan, and Becki Bonner and husband Keith; granddaughters Janae Littrell and husband Dusty, and April Simons and husband Tony.  She had one great-grandson, Cooper Littrell, who could always make her laugh and bring a smile to her face; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Neva and Bob met while at school in Lometa, TX. They were married while Bob was stationed at Goodfella AirForce Base in San Angelo, TX on May 2, 1952. Neva always talked about being at President Eisenhower's inauguration while they were stationed in Washington DC.  Once out of the Air Force they made their home in San Saba, Lake Jackson & then moved to Houston after Hurricane Carla.

Neva was a homemaker all her life, enjoyed painting ceramics, gardening and listening to Western Swing music.
