Frederick LeRoy Warner, Jr. was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2022.

Ted was born in Houston, Texas on May 1st, 1971 to Christian parents Fred and Carole Warner. He was the eldest of two boys. Surrounded by a strong Christian heritage, he learned from a very young age what it meant to be a Christian from his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. At the age of 6 Teddy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and never looked back. As a young man he attended Braeburn Bible Chapel, as well as Berachah Church.

He grew up in Alief, Texas where, as a kid, he participated in Boys Brigade at church, played football and baseball in the street, basketball in the driveway, and rode his Mongoose to the ditch where he could ride down hills and jump over the water. One of his fondest childhood memories was spending holidays and summers with his great-grandparents and grandparents on their property in Tyler, Texas. There he was free to roam, play, and take out the bad guys with his brother Bobby. Ted graduated from Hastings High School with a letter in football. Upon graduation Ted enlisted in the United States Army where he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). While in that unit, he served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Upon conclusion of his first hitch, he was honorably discharged as a bona fide war veteran.

After the Army, he went back to school and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston. Ted, however, felt he had more to do in military service so he reenlisted in the Army and joined 5th Special Forces Group, based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. With that unit he fought in three combat deployments in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned medals of commendation for valor, heroism, and courage, all under fire in the face of the enemy. When he left the Regular Army, he finished out his military career in the Texas National Guard with the 19th Special Forces Group and then went on to earn a Masters Degree from the University of Houston College of Business in Security Management.

During his life, Ted enjoyed many things. First and foremost he loved his Savior Jesus Christ. He loved studying The Word of God. He loved studying history as well as current events and how they relate to God's Word.He had an urgency in wanting everyone to know Jesus Christ. He lived a life on mission to teach and share The Word of God.He had a gift of seeing the good in people and encouraging and lifting them up, and putting them before himself.

Teddy just loved people. He had a tremendous capacity for love and he never met a stranger. He touched the lives of everyone he met, not just by what he said, but because of who he was, and he took a special interest in mentoring and encouraging young people, which is why he volunteered as a camp counselor at Sandy Creek Bible Camp for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors to include hiking, camping, fishing and shooting guns. He loved traveling. Most of all, Ted loved his family. He adored his mother Carole. He and his brother Bobby were closer than brothers. Teddy never had kids of his own, but he didn't need them. He had his nephews Jackson and Hudson, and he couldn't love them any more than if they were his own. One thing he looked forward to most was planning the next adventure with them each time they came to visit.

Ted was preceded in glory by his father Fred Warner and he is survived by his mother Carole, his brother Bobby, and his nephews Jackson and Hudson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, from 6pm until 8pm., at Peevey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 6, at 11:00am., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at First Colony Bible Chapel, 3610 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, TX 77479. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
