Fred Alanies Gonzales Jr., 72, of South Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 25,1953, in Houston, Texas.

Fred lived a full life centered on hard work, family, and the simple joys of the outdoors.  He worked many years as a truck driver and a skilled mechanic, always able to fix just about anything with his hands and his heart.  When he wasn't working under the hood, you could often find him by the water with a fishing pole, tinkering on classic cars, or setting up camp beneath the stars.

What Fred loved most was the time spent with family and friends.  Whether it was sharing stories around a campfire, laughing and cracking jokes at family gatherings, or enjoying a quiet day fishing, he created memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Fred is survived by his Mother, Janie Mata Cedillo, Sister, Cynthia Almanza, Children, Maryjane Gonzales, Freddie Gonzales, Rachel Darty, Eric Gonzales and Fernando Gonzales.  He also had many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was proceeded in death by his Father, Fred Alanies Gonzales Sr., and Brother, Ricky Gonzales.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Peevey Funeral Home; 12440 Beamer Rd., Houston, Tx 77089. Family and friends are invited to share stories and honor the legacy of a man who lived with kindness, humor, and love for life's simple pleasures.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Fred by spending a day fishing, restoring something old to new, or simply enjoying time with the ones you love-just as he always did.
