Frank O. Torres, Jr. journeyed home to his Heavenly Father on January 13, 2022, at the age of 71. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 16, 1950 to his parents Frank Torres, Sr. and Felicitas Martinez Torres. At an early age, Frank knew God's love and later in life, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was an active and longtime member at First Baptist Church in Pasadena where he served as an usher. He expressed God's love as he served in his church and community.

Frank was raised in Houston's East End. He attended Charles H. Milby High School until he enlisted in the United States Army in February of 1970. Specialist Four (SP4) Frank O. Torres, Jr. was recognized for his exemplary conduct, attitude and leadership qualities, whichearned him an acceleratedpromotion upon graduation of The Armor Crewman Basic Combat Training Course. His Vietnam Service consisted of the Vietnam Counteroffensive Phase VII and Consolidation Campaigns. His decorations and medals included the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, an Army Commendation Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1971.

After 28 years of employment, he retired from Lyndell-Citgo Refinery.

Frank enjoyed dining out with his Breakfast club buddies. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and feeding the local neighborhood squirrels with store bought pecans. He loved the Dallas Cowboys (a closet Texans fan) and supported them every season unconditionally.

Frank was a compassionate, kind and loving man. His unparalleled dedication to his family extended not only to those related by blood, but also to anyone who needed a father figure in their lives. Frank was a caring, gentle father who prided himself in raising his daughters with the same love and passion that he had for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joel Torres, Sr., and Sister Lillian Perez.

Frank is survived by his best friend and loving wife Ida, and his four daughters, Corina Salazar and husband Mark Salazar, Maggie Torres and Jesse Robertson, Ramona Torres, and Marianna Torres. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrea Salazar-Crowell and husband Kolton Crowell, Jacob Salazar and Natalie Hernandez, Great grandson Kameron Crowell, and his sisters Alma Mena and husband Amado Mena, Sr., Francine Salazar and husband Paul Salazar. Frank's family also includes a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and loving friends.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.

The visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, January 21, from 6pm until 8pm., the funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Pasadena, Saturday, January 22, at 11:00am.
