Frances "Fran" Smith (nee Nigliazzo) was born December 14, 1943 and died at home January 23, 2023. She was the daughter of Leo "Luke" and Josephine Nigliazzo of Bryan. In 1963 she married the love of her life, Dr. Edwin "Ed" B Smith, Jr. She later graduated from McKenzie-Baldwin Business College; and she would put that business acumen to good use when she and Ed founded EFEH & Associates in 1979.

Fran had a love for life and her pride and joy were her three grandsons. Las Vegas was her favorite vacation destination and she vacationed there every year for many years, including a memorable trip with family just before Christmas this past year.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Those of us left to cherish Maw Maw's memory include her husband, Dr. Edwin B Smith Jr, her sister Debbie Meschler and husband Mike, her son Edwin B Smith III and wife Donna, her daughter Holly Moffett and husband Al and her grandsons Samuel Smith, Al Moffett III, and Nathan Moffett.

Visitation will be at Peevey Funeral Home on Beamer Road Friday, January 27, from at 11:00am until 12:00pm., the Rosary will be prayed at noon, the service will begin at 12:30pm., Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
