Frances Arminta Cole, 93, passed peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Shenandoah, Texas.

She was born on November 30, 1932, in Poolville, Texas, to Claude and Audie Fulton, who preceded her in death. After the passing of her parents, Frances went to live at the Buckner Orphanage in Dallas, where she remained until graduating from high school—an experience that shaped her strength, independence, and deep compassion for others.

Frances began her working life as a telephone operator and later devoted 25 years of faithful service to the Texas Employment Commission, from which she retired. She took pride in her work and in doing it well.

She shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Emmett Wilton "Bill" Cole, until his passing in August of 2007. Together they built a life marked by love, laughter, faith, and many enjoyable driving trips spent singing and sightseeing side by side.

In recent years, Frances made her home with her loving daughter Cyndi in Montgomery, where she was deeply cared for and surrounded by love.

Frances was a faithful Christian and a devoted follower of Jesus. She lovingly led her children, Cyndi and Bill, to know and love Jesus as well. Her church family at Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas, held a special place in her heart, and she cherished worshiping there, especially singing alto in the church choir.

Known affectionately as "Mimi," Frances was a wonderful grandmother to David, Stacie, Jeff, Kevin, Brad, and JJ, and she was richly blessed with 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her great joy.

In her free time, Frances enjoyed bowling, a good game of 42, singing, and simply being with the people she loved. She will be remembered for her warm smile, steady faith, gentle spirit, and the quiet way she made others feel cared for.

She will be deeply missed, but her family rejoices in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her Savior and her beloved Bill.
