On October 24, 2021 Eunice Ann Weede went home to her Heavenly Father. Eunice was born December 4, 1947 in Fort Benning, Georgia to James and Jimmie Jean Guhlin. She was the second oldest child, but the oldest daughter of 8 children.

She was an army brat that lived in Georgia and Panama, eventually ending up in South Houston where she attended high school and met her soulmate. Charlie saw Eunice on the bus one day and said "I've got to have her" and the rest is history.

Charlie and Eunice married on October 14, 1966. They lived in South Houston before relocating to Manvel where they bought land and built their forever home. Together, they literally built their home brick by brick. Eunice was a fulltime homemaker and cared for their 3 children, Misti, Kimball and Erika. She was kept busy as the chaos coordinator for all of their activities and hobbies.

As busy as Eunice was running her own family, she found time to fulfill her servant's heart. She volunteered as an EMT in the local EMS and fire department and later became a dispatcher for them. She worked with them in some capacity for well over 30 years. During that time, she also had an in-home daycare where she cared for and touched the lives of many families.

After her own kids married and left the nest, she found her hands were idle and went back to school to learn a new trade in computers. She had a secret desire to be a hacker! Instead, she settled working for her son-in-law. She went on to work as an enrollment agent for the last 16 years. During this time, she enjoyed meeting new people daily and hearing all of their stories.

Eunice has 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She attended all of their events to make sure that she captured every memory so that she could show them off and brag on them. They brought her much joy.

She also loved gardening, watching the Astros and anything crafting. If you knew her, you probably received one of her many crafty items she made over the years. She loved to crochet and each Christmas made themed hats for her family. Think the grinch, minions, and angry birds, you name it, she could do it. Eunice also crocheted and donated countless hats to Texas Children's Hospital year-round. And, most of all, she loved anything patriotic and red, white and blue.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Jimmie Jean Guhlin; Sister, Jamaisa Davis and Brother Johann Guhlin.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charlie Weede and her children, Misti and Joey Dillon; Kimball Weede; Erika and Doug McReaken and Grandkids Haley Mecom and husband Arthur, Blake Dillon, Blair Dillon, Pearson Weede, Logan McReaken, Grace McReaken, Tanner Weede, Ava McReaken and great-granddaughter, Everly Mecom. Sisters Darcel Mercer, Sharon Womack and Karin Gibbs; brothers Jimmy Guhlin, Jr and Nils Guhlin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make donations to Camp Hope. If you are a crafter and would like to donate crochet/knitted hats to Texas Children's Hospital, she would love to know that her legacy lives on. In honor of Eunice, please wear your favorite patriotic outfit or Astros gear.

Memorial service will be held at Peevey Funeral & Cremation Friday the 29th of October at 10AM.
