Emil Edward Havelka, 58, Houston, Tx passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2022. Emil was born on September 16, 1964, in Pasadena, Tx.

After high school he worked many different jobs before he found his home at General Plastics & Composites. Emil worked his way up to New Product Manager after excelling in various positions over 30 years at GP&C. As a result of his innovations, he held several US Patents. He was extremely dedicated, motivated, loyal, and firm but fair to his GP&C family.

Anyone who knew Emil knows how genuine, smart and quick witted he was. Everything ran on Emil's time. He had a mischievous smile and contagious laugh that could light up the room. His greatest adventure was the life he built and shared with his wife and soulmate, Deanna. He went all in being a loving grandpa, devoted husband, proud father, and outdoorsman. In his later years he really enjoyed being around his grandkids & great nephews. From chasing them around the house to building racetracks and playing video games they always kept him busy! He was always adventurous and loved skydiving, hunting, and most of all offshore fishing. A fun fact about Emil was that he lived in Puerto Rico in his teens where he spent time surfing and skateboarding.

Emil is preceded in death by his parents Bettie Ann (Boyd) Havelka of Houston, Tx and John Joseph Havelka of Austin, Tx.; Aunt Jolene (Boyd) Howell of Bacliff, Tx.; and Uncles Emil Edward Havelka, Jerry Havelka, and Teddy Havelka of Georgetown, Tx.

He is survived by his sister Judy Havelka, aunt Dorothy Havelka, loving wife of 36 years Deanna Havelka, son Asher Havelka, daughter in law Rebecca Havelka, grandsons Grayson Alexander Havelka, Liam Edward Havelka, Brother-in-law Paul Henderson, Sister-in-Law Missy Mojica Henderson, Nephew Anthony and wife Kelli Henderson, Great nephews Abel and Niko Henderson, Nephew David and wife Christina Arcement, Nieces Desiree Elizabeth and Flora Mae Arcement. Mother-in-law Frances Suniga Mojica, Brother-in-law De'Mel Mojica and Christina Ghan, Niece Eva Grace (Ross) Mojica, Niece Lyra Mae Adamson, Cousin Jay Weldon Howell, Sealy, Tx. Father-in-law Benjamin and wife Glenda Mojica.

Emil will be missed by so many, his memories will be fondly cherished, his laughter always heard and his love forever lasting.

"If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane. I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again."

The family will receive friends Monday, January 9, 2023 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Peevey Funeral & Cremation 12440 Beamer Rd Houston, Tx 77089.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10:00 am. at Forest Park East Cemetery 21620 Gulf Frwy Webster, Tx 77598.
